U.S. Embassy donates ambulance and military-grade tents to the Cambodian Ministry of Defense

Ministry of Defense, Phnom Penh
October 30, 2008

On October 30th, 2008 Major Chris Mills of the U.S. Embassy officially donated 737 military grade tents and a fully equipped ambulance to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. The equipment was received by Brigadier General Phat Vibolsopheak at the Ministry of Defense in Phnom Phen.  This donation was made possible by the U.S. Foreign Military Financing program (FMF), and is a further sign of the Embassy’s commitment to strengthening our military to military relationship.  The tents will be used to upgrade units normally used by the border defense force, peacekeeping units and maritime security. The ambulance is destined for the National Headquarters of the Counter-Terrorism Special Forces.
