Press availability: Understanding Islam in Cambodia

On Monday April 20th HE Deputy Prime Minister Sar Keng and HE Ambassador Carol Rodley officially opened a series of seminars which were designed to foster a greater understanding of Islam amongst the law enforcement community in Cambodia. The seminars were held in Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham and Kampot, and concluded on Thursday afternoon. The series was organized by the American Embassy in Phnom Penh and the Cambodia Human Rights Committee headed by HE Om Yentieng. Representatives from both organizations will make short statement and be available for questions at 10:30am at the American Embassy on Friday the 24th of April.
