Congratulations, Emmy and Pe, on this fantastic achievement. You have shown the young people of Cambodia what it takes to be a great leader and citizen. Over 12 episodes, you have earned our respect by relying on your intelligence, hard work and imagination to overcome some very daunting challenges. You believed in yourself and, in the process, convinced others to believe in you. By winning the most votes on this final episode, you have demonstrated to us the power of democracy in action. Although there could only be one winner, I also congratulate your competitors. It fills me with hope for the future of Cambodia to see such bright, promising young people demonstrating their talents. I’m pleased to present Emmy/Pe with an exciting opportunity to travel to the United States to develop the skills that brought you here today. Good luck to you and all of the young people watching this evening.
